With quite a few The LEGO Batman Movie books released immediately after the movie debut I was wondering that the one I picked will at least belong to the better ones. Now I feel ashamed that I was a bit suspicious about the book.
It is a perfect guide full of insider details, stories and sketches that will take you on the adventurous journey of how Warner Bros and the LEGO Group made The LEGO Batman Movie !

In the first section dedicated to Locations you will find out that a look of Wayne Manor, the grandest of grand mansions, was inspired by the mansions of the American Gilded Age. You will discover how the whole Gotham City or Arkham Asylum was replicated by LEGO bricks. You will be amazed by the amount of detail that was considered by the team.

The Characters section is my utmost favourite. There are many pages dedicated to description of design development of individual heroes. I especially like the double page with Joker's grimaces or the hand drawn sketches of minifigs in action.
