LEGO Disney Minifigures Collectible Series
I'm so glad that LEGO made Disney Minifigure series. It does look fantastic I have to say. There are some old and some new characters which makes the series so special. Perfect for people like me who loves fairy tales ! :)
I've sorted minifigures by their similarity with Disney original look and I think that LEGO did a very nice job ! My favourites are Ursula, Syndrome and Captain Hook. I think that these three are the most lookalike.
1. URSULA
- Perfectly sculptured body, hair and detailed face
|
Ursula |
2. SYNDROME
- Amazing colour of hair and face expression
|
Syndrome |
3. CAPTAIN HOOK
- Very nice red colour of a costume, hook instead of a hand and detailed face.
|
Captain Hook |
4. BUZZ LIGHTYEAR
- Almost copies the original with a few minor missings of colour buttons.
|
Buzz Lightyear |
5. ALADDIN
- A shame that he didn't come with more funny accessories - Monkey or Flying Carpet ?
|
Aladdin |
6. DONALD
- I love his colour scheme. Not a big fan of CMF but this one is perfect.
|
Donald |
7. PETER PAN
- I found him a bit boring at the beginning but he is so authentic - spiked ears, green costume, hair, ... Definitely one of my favourites at the end.
|
Peter Pan |
8. GENIE
- I like his painted face even thought it is not moulded. Shame that the red colour on his body is not a bit stronger.
|
Genie |
9. CHESHIRE CAT
- I admit that I didnt't know or didn't remember this one from my childhood. :) I like the teeth and tail.
|
Cheshire Cat |
10. ARIEL
- Her hair is amazing - colour and shape. It's a shame that her body is not somehow moulded so that she looks a bit more feminine.
|
Ariel |
11. ALICE
- Drink me bottle is a perfect idea. I also like her hair piece. What I don't like that much is a blue colour used for her costume, which reminds me of a nurse. I think that the original is a bit darker.
|
Alice |
12. MALEFICIENT
- I'm very glad that LEGO chose Maleficient character too. Looks perfect. I would love to see a black rook and more colourful costume.
|
Maleficient |
13. DAISY
- Another must have character in Disney series in my opinion. Again, moulded head looks very good. What I don't like is a very simple design of the upper body. She lacks her green bracelet.
|
Daisy |
14. MINNIE
- Very good match with the original character - especially the body. I would love to see a slightly open mouth as in Donuld or Daisy case.
|
Minnie |
15. MICKEY
- Very simple - as the original is.
|
Mickey |
16. ALIEN
- Colours are a bit different than the original. But the head is perfect.
|
Alien |
17. STITCH
- I love this one. It's very cute but I miss teeths.
|
Stitch |
18. MR INCREDIBLE
- Authentic costume but I think that head or hair piece is not lookalike to the original character.

Mr. Incredible |

Write komentářůUrsula is fat, hence the body fits her fine, but Ariel, get the 2015-2016 Lego Disney series, they are much slender and feminine
ReplyAs I've stated, I am not a huge Disney fan. So, for me, I only viewed these in how they would enhance my LEGO collection (and my LEGO city).
ReplyI don't mind that each year, one of the three Collectible Minifigure Series will be a licensed series. I think 2017's should be the LEGO Batman Movie Series.
I understand why they do it, but I still wish all LEGO Minifigures were yellow.
My favorites in the Disney CMF series were Ursula and the Cheshire Cat. My least favorite (by far) is Daisy Duck. I mean, of all the Disney characters in its long, storied history, Daisy Duck wouldn't make my top 500.
I did think there were some cool parts and accessories, though. And, while I'm in no hurry for a second series, I do expect one and will likely collect another complete set (plus a few favorites).
Thanks for your thoughtful, thorough review. Good work!
Yes, if you mean the Minidoll version of Ariel it looks much more feminine. But I think that I will stay with the collectible minifigure version anyway. :) I am glad that LEGO keeps releasing series like Disney. It's always a lot of fun to hunt all minifigures.
ReplyDo you also collect LEGO minifigures ? I am looking forward to the Series 16. We are still waiting for its release in Czech Republic as it always takes a bit longer in here than in US or some other lucky markets. :)
Thank you very much for your kind words.
ReplyI completely understand your feelings about CMF minifigures. Some od them looks so differently from the original LEGO yellow face ones. But as I said, I appreciate the variety of figures LEGO brings alive and look forward to another "different" series such as LEGO Disney is.
As for the Disney Duck, I completely agree with you. It's quite boring figure.
Btw, LEGO Batman Movie is a very good guess for 2017 collectible minifigure series ! :)
I like the unique mini figure shape for most of the characters, but for Processes, prefer the minidolls version. Technically, I am not a Lego minifigure collector.
ReplyIt's cool that LEGO makes minidolls compatible with regular LEGO sets so that you can choose the minidoll version if you don't like the original yellow face one.
