Summer holidays are here - the sun, the sea and days of relaxation ! ... :-) LEGO does keep us busy also during these hot summer days with new cool releases.
I've been currently working on the 3rd edition of the Brick Market Report which should once again provide you with comprehensive and up-to-date look at LEGO sets released during Q2 2017.
2017 has been immensely rich year for us LEGO fans thanks to a number of new great releases. We witnessed introduction of long awaited LEGO Ideas Apollo Saturn V and its fast sold out at the same time. Second wave of LEGO Batman Movie sets filled shelves of toy stores all around the world. 17th Collectible Minifigure Series has enjoyed a big popularity not only thanks to the mysterious campaign for the Highwayman. Also new fresh LEGO Jungle sub theme hit the market in Q2 2017... And LEGO Technic celebrates 40 years in a big style with amazing BMW R 1200 GS and other cool sets this year.
What are the two hottest LEGO sets released during Q2 2017 that impressed me the most out of more than 100 new sets ? Definitely the LEGO Carousel by CREATOR and the NASA Apollo Saturn V by IDEAS !

I've mostly missed the NASA Apollo Saturn V due to its fast sold out. Hope that it will come back to shops soon so that more LEGO fans can get hands on it.

Carousel looks like the most colourful set of all times when placed next to the Apollo Saturn V.

It can be clearly seen on the example of these two very different sets that LEGO is working hard on development of new diverse models to catch up with demands of 21st century consumers.

I therefore hope that we will continue to see LEGO to prosper and to release beautiful sets like Carousel and Apollo Saturn V.
I will be very happy if you let me know what do you think about this two sets.

Write komentářůWow, Apollo looks really great ! I am big fan of space exploration, so for me, it would definitely be the Saturn V ;)
ReplyI think that the Saturn V is the first LEGO space thematic model of such a scale, isn't it ? It's a bit similar to the architecture line which replicate real things. I think that this space rocket looks fantastic and I can't wait to look inside the box and explore also the packaging which is always something extra for Ideas sets.
ReplyCool, I love the packaging of the Ideas sets, they are very special compare to the "ordinary" packaging ;)
ReplyMy favourite rocket is Space Shuttle, which took to the outer space over 600 astronauts ! :)
