How well do you remember what happened back in 2012 ? :-) Curiosity Rover successfully lands on Mars, Marvel's movie The Avengers is released and becomes a hit, London hosts the Olympic Games, the Mayan Calendar reaches the end of the cycle, the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II is celebrated ... But the coolest part is that LEGO releases another portion of great sets worth highlighting in 2012 ! :-)
This year, the first wave of The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit or The Monster Fighters has been introduced. Many amazing LEGO sets for Star Wars fans has been released including the favourite droid R2-D2. And many more ...

I wish my brother and I had rediscovered LEGO just a few years before we did (Christmas, 2014). I would love to have gotten a Town Hall. We probably would have gotten a Haunted House, too.

That's my wish, too ! :-) 2012 was a strong year. It would be cool if we could come back in time and buy our favourite sets from past for their original prices. However, there is no point to be sad and live past. In my opinion, 2015 and 2016 were very strong years in terms of number of exceptional sets designed and released by LEGO. And many of them are still available in LEGO shop ! :-)

Whenever I lament missing out on awesome, retired sets, my mantra is "just make sure you get the sets you want going forward. It's all you can do."
